The Digital Media Server (DMS) is at the heart of the Voyager™ system. This ingenious device makes it simple to play many different types of media ­seamlessly. This is because films, adverts and more can all be converted to a unique Voyager™ file format using the Play List Manager for saving on our specially designed USB drives. Thus formatted USB drivers can store up to eight hours of audiovisual material on an 8GB drive and 16 hours on a 16GB USB drive. The Play list Manager software makes it incredibly simple to create a sequence of different programs to be shown during the journey. For long journeys a combination of different programs would provide enough entertainment variety to keep even the most demanding passenger satisfied. A sample playlist may contain:

 

  • A short welcome clip.
  • Safety reminders.
  • Adverti­sement break.
  • A cartoon.
  • Advertisement break.
  • Film.
  • Destination information.

 

The possibilities are endless and as the playlists can be fully personalised for specific traveller groups, passengers are treated to tailor made entertainment and advertising.

 

­The software is very easy to use and includes features to help organise and control all the different types of media used.

 

 

The features include:

  • Create unique playlists using drag and drop action.
  • Playlist information is stored in a database so it can be monitored.
  • Multiple playlists – for each and every journey.
  • File searching – eas­ily locate adverts featured in multiple playlists etc.
  • Tag files with expiry dates so the operator knows when to recall a stick (i.e when advertising has been paid to be shown for a limited time).
  • See the actual play time and file sizes on the playlist (if post file conversion is applicable)
  • Automatic conversion of any file from any format into the Voyager format.
  • Uniquely identify every USB individually so they are easy to keep track of.
